This extended course goes far beyond what you would find in a typical newborn class, examining subjects such as:

Early Boundaries

This workshop teaches caregivers and parents of children ages 1-5 how establishing gentle boundaries can help head off the so-called “terrible twos”/"threenagers". With detailed, helpful tips about how to set boundaries before you get there, you can set a strong foundation for what's to come.

 

Already dealing with some tiny tyrants? That's okay! The methods in this class work for all periods of behvioural concern as well, and center around encouraging a healthy expression of feelings while still developing a strong sense of self in your child. 

​

Topics include when and how to begin setting boundaries in consideration of development, appropriate use of the word “no”, the difference between boundary setting, discipline and punishment, employing empathy, handling real situations and tactics, dealing with tantrums and aggression, and how sign language can be a vital tool to establishing healthy expression of emotions.
